Hottest Christmas Toys

Finding the top Christmas toys is a great idea, because you can bet that your children will know what they are!

I aim to review the top toys that are available for 2010, and these will include;

My Pillow Pets are a unique concept. They are basically a soft toy, but with a difference - they fold out into pillows so your child can have a nap.

There are many characters available within the Pillow Pets range, and they are definitely one of the front running in the hottest toys for Christmas 2010.

The range of Pillow Pets have been widely advertised on tv, which is partly why the demand has been so huge. It can actually be quite difficult now to get hold of some of the animals in the Pillow Pets range.

The Pillow Pets are animal characters, and they make use of Velcro to simply unfold them to reveal the pillow.

The Pets are totally washable, so long as you place inside a pillow case and wash on a gentle wash, and don't ever tumble dry them.

These are some of the Pillow Pets you can buy;

Magical Unicorn - This one is already selling out in some stores, and it is very popular, especially with the little girls. The Pillow Pet Unicorn is available in different sizes, and you can even buy a unicorn blanket.

Squeaky Dolphin - This has proved to be one of the most popular in the range of Pillow Pets. It is available in two sizes, and is soft and cuddly, so would get lots of use both as a toy and as a pillow.

Lady Bug - Cute little pillows with a large smile! You can also find matching Lady Bug Pillow Pet slippers.

Alli Alligator - One for the boys.

Other Pillow Pets in the range include a cow, turtle, whale, pig, moose, panda, lion, zebra, bumble bee, monkey, lamb, cat and more! There are lots to choose from, but as several designs are showing signs of being sell outs, it is a good idea to make your decision and buy it before that too sells out.

These little fellows are the latest craze and are simply flying off of the shelves. This will only get worse as we near Christmas.

One of the latest crazes this year are Sing-a-ma-jigs. These are designed to be interactive as well as musical, and they are available in a number of different characters.

So What Are Sing-A-Ma-Jigs Exactly?

The Sing-a-ma-jigs are from established toy manufacturer, Fisher Price and are really cute characters that all look quite unique. Each of the characters have their own voice, their own special look, and of course their own song. When they are squeezed they will sing!

You can of course just buy the one, but it is fun when they all start to sing together. Each Sing-a-ma-jig character has its own pitch so add a new layer to any sound, but it won't matter how many you have they will all sing in total harmony every single time.

There are currently six characters available in the Sing-a-ma-jig range, and these are:-

- Pink, Yellow, Blue, Red, Purple, and Orange - more colors are being added all the time.

Each character looks different, but have some common features, for instance their cute litle opened mouths and sweet little sweaters.

The Sing-a-ma-jigs have three modes, which are, singing, chattering and harmonizing. When they are in their chatter mode they speak in their own language of jibber-jabbers. To change into singing mode they need to be squeezed gently until their mouths open and the song comes out. The harmonizing mode becomes usable when you have two or more sing-a-ma-jigs together.

These are not just singing toys though. they are also soft, cute and immensely huggable little companions for any child to enjoy.

Are The Sing-a-ma-jigs worth buying for your child?

They are certainly unusual, and are great for children that love to collect. As they each have their own voices and colors they can be played with alone, or collected as a group.

If your child is very young they may well find it difficult to squeeze their Sing-a-ma-jigs to get it to sing and choose the correct mode, so may need some help. The volume is not controllable, but as it's quite likely your child will fall in love with their quirly little Sing-a-ma-jigs, you will probably cope with this!

It's recommended by Fisher Price that the toys are only given to children that are aged three and above. They are available now, but are expected to be one of the most popular toys this year, so may well be harder to buy as Christmas approaches, and at the moment can be found starting from around $15 to $20 (see below).
